Sunova Coaster Light Foilboard

THE COASTER LIGHT is the latest addition to the casey. foil range.

It is a design that has evolved over the last years, with the introduction of parawinging, the resurgence in SUP surf foiling and ever expanding intermediate downwind market.

This board is designed to do it all, super comfortable with a parawing, easily manageable in the surf and ridiculously user-friendly for crew wanting to get out in the bumps. But don’t let this easy attitude fool you, this thing is a performance machine.

If you’re looking for one board to do it all, you can’t look past the Coaster Light!

OUTLINE:

Sleek parallel outline. This board is quite straight through the middle section to assist in getting on foil as early as possible. With the length-to-width ratio, the board ends up with quite a pulled-in nose and tail.

RAILS:

Rolled with hard bottom edges. The rolled rails enable the bottom surface area of the board to be as big as possible, enabling earlier planning and more equal volume distribution. The hard edges help water release more efficiently, reducing drag. They are tucked through the mid-rear section to ensure they don’t catch on more radical maneuvers.

ROCKER:

Clean flat arc throughout, with parallel box section. The flatter rocker helps the board to plane quicker, no matter what discipline you’re doing on the water. There is a subtle tail kick, which helps keep it out of the way when you are pumping up or taking off.

BOTTOM:

Rounder front into flat midsection. The rounder front helps the board on touchdowns; it won’t immediately stick and bog. The flat planing surface through the middle allows the board to glide effortlessly

DECK:

We have a concave deck to get the rider as close to the foil as possible while maintaining the volume needed. It's a soft concave without any drastic edges, so it doesn't trap water on the deck after takeoff.

FINAL STATEMENT:

This board is a perfect All-rounder for a crew of all ages and abilities, as one board to truly do it all, you can’t look past this one.

GENERAL GOAL | THEME OF THE BOARD:

A multipurpose board that will work well with a Wing, Para Wing, and Paddle in just about any conditions.

CONDITIONS IT'S WORKING BEST:

Any conditions you throw at it, just choose your accessories accordingly.

SKILL LEVEL IT'S BEST FOR:

Intermediate to Advanced.

WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF WHEN YOU DESIGNED IT?:

With the evolution of many different aspects of foiling, I wanted a board that could cover as many bases as possible and work well across them all.

WHAT IT POSSIBLY COMPROMISES ON THEN?:

These boards are a little bit longer and middle of the range, so definitely not a performance wing board.
