Return Policy

All returns require the RMA Form to be electronically submitted prior to shipping your return back. 

Once submitted and approved, you will be provided an RMA number that MUST be written/printed on the outside of the package and included inside the box along with the returned items. 

Packages without an RMA approval will NOT be accepted. Please complete the provided RMA Form in the red hyperlink RMA Form


RMA Eligibility / Requirements:

 Returns are accepted for brand new merchandise in unused / new condition within 30 days of receipt. 

All items must be returned in the condition in which they were received, including manufacturer packaging, tags, documentation and any accessories/hardware. All original packaging and labels must be intact. Unwrapped, unrolled or inflated kites and wings are considered used. Unwrapped lines/bars are considered used. All items must be able to be resold as new. 

Returns on used/demo merchandise that has not been used by the customer are accepted within 7 days of receipt. Please contact prior to shipping for approval. 

Exchanges for large items with high shipping costs (Wing foils, kiteboards, surfboards, travel bags, wing foil booms, ect.) customers are responsible for shipping costs back to Green Hat, as well as the shipping costs for the exchanged back to them. 

On all orders, Green Hat Kiteboarding incurs non-refundable shipping plus credit card processing fees (3%). If your order is Cancelled, Returned, Refused (excluding damage claim) or Undeliverable, we will only charge you for the original/return shipping and credit card processing fees that have been imposed upon Green Hat Kiteboarding to recover our expenses. 

All exchanges must be made on the original order. If a second order is placed as an "exchange" the customer is responsible for the non-refundable 3% credit card fee. 

There are no restocking fees if the above conditions are met

If the above conditions are not met, restocking fees will be determined on a case by case basis. 

Please note: We do not accept returns for special ordered items that we do not typically stock. 

The customer has a choice of a refund, exchange or store credit: for a refund, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs (including the ones incurred by Green Hat Kiteboarding of the original shipment, even if the "Free Shipping" option was used at the time of order). For a refund to the original payment method, the customer is responsible for 3% credit card fees. 

For an exchange or store credit on domestic orders (48 contiguous states only), the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs only. For an exchange or store credit on international orders or orders from non-contiguous states, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs. Please contact us before shipping for approval. 

Returns will be refused if the item arrives damaged due to improper packaging or handling by the shipping carrier. Please ensure returns are carefully packaged and fully insured on all returned and exchanged orders. 

The items you are returning are your responsibility until they reach our warehouse. If any item is damaged in transport to our warehouse, the customer is responsible for filing the insurance claim. 

We are NOT responsible for any returns that are damaged/lost in transit. 

Refunds will be processed within 5 business days after we receive your return. Once your return is received and inspected by our fulfillment center, your refund will be processed and a credit to the original payment method or store credit will be applied. 

Please be aware that refunds can only be processed back to the original payment method. Should the original payment method no longer be valid for any reason, we can offer a credit via a Green Hat Kiteboarding store credit.

Holiday Return Policy: For orders placed between Nov 20th and Dec 25th, returns/exchanges for new merchandise orders in unused condition will be extended until January 31st.
