The Apex Mast series completely breaks the mold of conventional mast design to set a new standard for performance with hydrodynamic efficiency, stiffness, and control. Each model, 77 cm, 85 cm, and 95 cm, is a unique discipline specific design, targeting glide, efficiency, maneuverability, and ventilation resistance characteristics on certain sections of the mast rather than scaled in length from a single template.
Every Apex mast incorporates ultra high modulus carbon, delivering a major leap in stiffness and responsiveness. The result is a mast that is faster, more agile, and up to 30% less drag than standard carbon masts.
The Apex uses a forward raked multi airfoil design tuned for submerged efficiency, ventilation resistance, and low surface piercing spray drag. An aggressive taper was developed using video analysis of how different sections of the mast are used across disciplines and conditions, then refined through flex pattern study and airfoil optimization across the size range.
Apex feels exceptionally stiff and responsive, with a direct connection to the foil and clean feedback under load. The refined airfoil transitions and taper keep the mast feeling efficient and controlled through chop and surface contact, while the forward offset baseplate helps the setup feel more direct and balanced.
Apex is designed to reduce drag where it matters most in real use, combining submerged efficiency with minimal induced spray drag when riding in the bottom ¾ of the mast.
The dynamic cross-sectional airfoil design and aggressive taper support higher speed riding with significant acceleration while pumping and effortless top end handling.
