Engineered for an intuitive and direct connection to your hydrofoil, the Seek has a stiff and responsive, lightweight and durable Hybrid Carbon construction with a PVC-reinforced EPS core. The 2022 Seek is balanced for a cleaner release and a more comfortable stance. Its longer waterline improves speed and acceleration. North rearranged the volume distribution in the board for excellent stability on takeoff and touchdown, where every movement counts. And increased nose rocker improves the wave-fit and enables easier lift up onto the foil. Early takeoffs. Effortless touchdown recovery. Easy gybes and tacks. Wait, did you say jump? We say, how high? With updated volumes for each board length, you can now ride a full size shorter.

2022 North Seek Technology

IMPROVED SPEED AND ACCELERATION
North increased the waterline length and adjusted the volume distribution of the board, so the board reached planing speed and lifts up on the foil earlier.
The longer waterline finishes right at the tail of the board. The additional tail volume creates more stability under your back foot, making it easier to step straight into your straps as you get up on the board.

DEEPER RECESSED SINGLE CONCAVE DECK
North increased the amount of the deck concave, especially in the standing area. This positions the rider's feet lower inside the board for greater leverage, responsiveness, and heel/toe roll control.
The recessed deck results in most of the board’s volume being shifted out toward the rails, in turn providing greater balance and stability on takeoffs and touchdown.

REPOSITIONED FREE-V AND FREE FOIL STRAP INSERTS (straps sold separately)
Multiple different positioning options for each strap allow you to personalize your stance - or go strapless. 
In addition to the centreline and V-strap inserts, North introduced a new offline strap insert option for more ergonomic goofy or natural riding. The rear strap inserts have also been moved back for a wider stance, more comfort and stability. 

COMPACT OUTLINE AND INCREASED NOSE ROCKER
The shorter the board, the more effective it is for pumping, the less swing weight, and the more maneuverable it is when riding up on the foil. 
More forgiving rocker allows the rider to pump the board more easily, making it easier to get up on the foil, and improves the wave fit of the board. If you do touch down during a turn, rather than catch and lose momentum, the reshaped rocker allows you to continue the turn and make full use of the foil’s motion.

STEEPER BEVELLED RAILS
The steeper rails add more volume to the outside edge of the board, adding again to the stability and making it easier to stand on and get going. 

TOUCHDOWN RECOVERY
The nose spine and double-concave in the underside of the nose, combined with the steep bevelled rails, helps with touchdown recovery. 
The V-shape in the bottom contour of the board breaks the water surface on touch down, so the board dives in gently and releases quickly, without sticking. The V also helps to funnel air under the board, which helps it to release faster.

HYBRID CARBON TECHNOLOGY
Lighter weight construction for stiffness, maneuverability, and glide. The stiffer the board, the better it will pump and the more responsive it feels. 
A light yet durable epoxy composite laminate, with a balanced carbon and e-glass fibre layup is wrapped around an EPS core. High-density closed cell PVC reinforcement around the foil track mount, leash plug and foot strap inserts spreads the load. An ultra-lightweight double bamboo reinforcement layer under the standing area adds greater impact resistance and rigidity.

INTEGRATED PVC STRUCTURAL STRINGER SYSTEM
The DropBox foil mounting tracks are embedded into a high-density closed-cell PVC block. 
Two high-density PVC stringers are glued to each side of this block, distributing the load lengthwise, and the full system connects the top and bottom laminate skins for maximum support.

DROPBOX FAST FOIL MOUNTING TRACK
Speed-dial your foil setup. Simply drop your foil pre-assembled with screws and t-nuts into the track, slide it backwards, then tighten the screws to fasten. 
North's unique structurally-integrated DropBox has a longer track for a wider adjustment range, allowing you to precision-tune the foil set up for your rider weight. A measurement guide next to the track aids correct positioning. Industry-standard 90mm track spacing means the Seek is compatible with most foil systems.

GORE WATERPROOF 2-WAY VENT
The EPS core of a high volume board is affected by extreme temperature changes. To prevent air pressure build-up North installed a two-way GORE Protective Vent on the top deck. 
This allows air to pass in and out of the board, while preventing water from entering. The vent is factory-fitted and does not require any adjustment.

CORDUROY DECK GRIP WITH TACTILE AND VISUAL STANCE REFERENCE
For a more intuitive and direct connection to your foil, comfort grip longitudinal corduroy with centre-line ridge allows fast, easy tactile foot placement. 
Tail-kickpad and transverse markers on the deckpad provide a tactile and visual reference, giving you confidence to adjust.

INTEGRATED UNDERSIDE CARRY HANDLE
Recessed carry handle on the underside of the foilboard allows balanced load handling with or without the foil attached and leaves your other hand free to carry your wing or paddle down the water. The inside of the handle is ribbed for extra grip.
