F-One Swing V4 Wing

Thanks to its stability, lightness, maneuverability and control, F-one's legendary SWING is the ultimate wave-riding and downwinding wing, all while also letting you make the most of all conditions. Its impressive balance and control also make it a perfect freeride wing. Its compact design improves freefly abilities; your only focus becomes your foil and the wave or swell you are riding.

    • - Compact design for lightness and maneuverability

    • - Intuitive and efficient take-offs

    • - Impressive balance and stability to make the most of the waves

    • - Smooth and controlled ride, without any big accelerations or excessive speed for an effortless ride

    • - HITEX, NANO and HT80 for increased durability

    • - Equipped with the new interchangeable handle system

The fourth version of the SWING benefits from a refined design and inherits all the evolutions of the new, and fourth edition as well, of the STRIKE. With its refined design, the fourth version of the SWING offers first-rate sensations while providing controlled speed to keep the foil under control no matter the conditions. This wing positions itself perfectly in the range between the new ORIGIN and the STRIKE.

Thanks to the Sail Engineering work, the new SWING offers an excellent planing start with an easy pumping thanks to its natural flexibility. This will allow every rider, regardless of their level, to use a smaller surface area for even more maneuverability.

The SWING continues to benefit from a compact design and a reduced wingspan, making it exceptionally easy to maneuver and surf. Your hand placement will be optimal as well, and never too high, throughout the session.

The SWING is always ready to glide into the slightest wave while remaining light and stable in freefly. It holds perfectly in the air in a neutral position when turning in the waves and flies itself flawlessly, leaving you free to use the power of the wave with little resistance. It also generates power immediately, and this instant power can turn out to be crucial when kicking out of a wave or waterstarting to safely get out of the impact zone when needed.

Offering efficient upwind riding, this fourth edition of the SWING allows you to enjoy long and effortless downwinders.

The SWING is more intuitive and comfortable than ever before, and remains super stable, light, and balanced, all while maintaining a certain smoothness in its traction. This fourth version is the ideal compromise, offering performance in total control and a certain flexibility. It also provides an excellent balance throughout the entire wind range. Beginners and experienced riders alike will enjoy its gentle feel and ease-of-use.

    Handles
The SWING is fitted with the new interchangeable handle system: soft, hybrid or even rigid, the choice is yours. Wings come with soft handles pre-installed, but it is now possible for riders to customize handles at their preference.

    Features

    REACTOR VALVE
The reactor inflation valve offers a high flow
connection that twist locks the pump hose to the kite for an easy and super-fast inflation and deflation at the push of a button.
It provides a high air flow rate between the struts and leading edge.

    SAIL ENGINEERING
Sail engineering is the science of controlling design and its behavior while flying. These features have been created with one goal in mind: Mastering the kite's loads to maintain the desired shape for the longest time.
    1 – Warp Tension Line
Woven fabrics feature a longitudinal 0° yarn (Warp) and a transversal 90° yarn (Weft). Therefore, a fabric has great elongation resistance and strength capacities if you apply tension at 0° or 90° along the yarns. But it will deform and stretch when tension is applied at, let’s say, 45°.
    2 – Load Control Panneling
When engineering the load control paneling, F-One made sure that fabrics panels are warp/weft oriented, meaning that the load path runs through the yarns. Fabric and seams are then in the best position to receive tensions and maintain the original kite shape.
    3 – Staggered Seams
Most of the kite’s back lines tension is distributed through the trailing-edge panels and seams. As seams are significantly stiffer than the fabric they join, they tend to strain under loads and therefore deform the profile. The staggered seams break that line of tension by balancing the stiffness between seams and cloth, which helps distribute the load over a wider area and maintain the original shape even under high loads.
    4 – Fabric Weight Management
F-One's sails feature four different cloth weights, from 52 up to 155gr/m². Sail engineering allows F-One's to control the shape and drive load tensions without using heavy fabrics or bulky designs, therefore F-One can reduce fabric’s weight and use. It results in a lighter, optimized kite.

    HT80
The HT80 is a woven double ripstop high tenacity polyester that brings increased stability and allows a better control of the profile of the kite or wing.
This material guarantees great resistance to elongation and tears, as well as increased durability overtime.

    NANO
This micro ripstop polyester 55g is used on the canopies of the Swing V3, CWC V2, Breeze V4 and One V2. Wings and kites are often left in the wind to flop. They are also very often wet, salty, and sandy; all factors that weaken them. The canopy must therefore be very durable to keep its rigidity over time and to ensure the same performance level between the day of purchase and the end of its life. It benefits from a NANO coating and a Plasma treatment process that brings an increased rigidity, resistance to elongation and tears, and durability. Used by F-One's bluesign-certified factory, Plasma is an eco-friendly technology that uses less chemicals in the finishing process while guaranteeing the same performances and stability.

    HITEX
To meet the specific needs of the development of wings and kites, and to offer a high-performance and durable product without using inaccessible materials, F-One has developed HITEX, a new high tenacity polyester. Available in 158g, and exclusively for F-One in 178g, this new material is incredibly resistant to elongation and increases the durability of wings and kites.
HITEX is an innovative, high tenacity polyester fiber with an enhanced high-quality weaving and coating that increases the fabrics' resistance. The 178g is a new weight and perfectly matches the needs of the center strut and center of its leading edge. The lighter 158g is used in the leading edge tips.
Used throughout the inflatable structure of the wings and kites and designed to handle the high pressures when inflating, HITEX offers performance and resistance. Thanks to extensive Sail Engineering work, the R&D team has placed each weight of HITEX in different areas allowing absolute control of the shape session after session.
