PERFORMANCE KITE / TOW-SURF FOILBOARD

A versatile, direct and responsive performance foilboard with instant touchdown recovery. The Scoop features an intuitive concaved deck for smooth transitions and easy steering. It has an lightweight Hybrid Carbon construction with structurally reinforced EPS core for impact resistance and rigidity. The shape is refined for 2022 with steeper bevelled rails and increased tail rocker to help the board release off the water and improve pumpability. North also introduced a new 135cm size for riders who prefer more length in front of their front foot. One of North's most versatile foilboards, the Scoop delivers a trusted platform for strapped big wave tow-foiling – from Pe’ahi to your local 2ft beach break - and is also your ideal expedition partner for comfortable long distance kitefoil missions or an after-work sundowner.

ULTRA-SCOOPED NOSE ROCKER
For instant touchdown recovery, preventing nose-dives, and helping to lift you back up on the foil. 

INTUITIVE CONCAVE DECK
The highly concave deck allows more intuitive foot positioning and also acts like a counterbalance, so you don't feel like you are heeling over as far on the board. 

NEW DEEP-V CONCAVE BOTTOM AND BEVELLED RAILS
The nose spine and double-concave in the underside of the nose, combined with the steep bevelled rails, helps with touchdown recovery. The V-shape in the bottom contour of the board breaks the water surface on touch down, so the board dives in gently and releases quickly, without sticking. The V also helps to funnel air under the board, which helps it to release faster. 

DROPBOX FAST-MOUNTING (165x90mm)
Allows you to precision-tune the foil setup for your weight and comfort. Mounting compatibility with any Foil System featuring a 165x90mm bolt pattern. The track system is structurally integrated between the top and bottom laminate for maximum support. 

INCREASED TAIL ROCKER
Increased tail rocker helps the board release off the water and improves pumpability. 

ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT HYBRID CARBON TECHNOLOGY
Lighter weight construction for stiffness, maneuverability, and glide. The stiffer the board, the better it will pump and the more responsive it feels. 

INTEGRATED PVC STRUCTURAL STRINGER SYSTEM 
The DropBox foil mounting tracks are embedded into a high-density closed-cell PVC block. Two high-density PVC stringers are glued to each side of this block, distributing the load length-wise, and the full system connects the top and bottom laminate skins for maximum support. 

MAX-GRIP DECKPAD WITH TRANSVERSE STANCE MARKERS
For a more intuitive and direct connection to your foil, maximum grip longitudinal corduroy with tail kicker allows easy tactile foot placement. Transverse markers on the decked provide a visual reference, giving you confidence to adjust. 

FREE-V AND FREE FOIL STRAP INSERTS (straps sold separately)
Centerline and V-strap insert mounting pattern allows you to customize your stance with 5 different positioning options for each strap - or go strapless.
