I've taken lessons in Antigua, Aruba, Union island (Grenadines), and Cocoa Beach, FL. While many of these provided excellent conditions and instructors, Kite Island and the Greenhat crew are number 1 on my list of the best places to learn. The combination of steady onshore wind, waist deep flat water, and outstanding instructors is quite unique relative to other places. If only the NJ kiting season were longer!

Lessons and boat rides are worth every penny. They have helmet radios so they can tell you what to do differently while your riding during a lesson. It makes for much easier communication.

AMAZING customer service. I order a harness online and at the moment they did not have my size, so they upgraded me instead for FREE and sent me a newer version of the product! My No 1. place for kite surfing/boarding gear from now on.

Great customer service and price online, and awesome instruction on the water. Also the best learning environment I've seen anywhere in the try state area at Kite island.

Everyone working at green hat is great. All of the instructors are very good and very helpful. Great place to take a lesson or buy gear. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
