Core Bolt 4 Kiteboard

WAKESTYLE

SHRED IT
Heart Attacks, Slim Chances, and Krypts are your thing. You know 'em all, and love adding new ones to your repertoire. You see opportunity when others see tricky shoreline elements. You ride the Bolt 4.

CORE TOUGH
A total of four layers of Core's proprietary carbon fiber - Cartan - make this board the toughest and most durable board Core offers. Its easy-fix Grindbase and bombproof inserts are rail ready. So, enjoy nature's wonders and ride whatever you want. This pro wakestyle board is built to last.

UNCOMMON RAILS
The Bolt 4 debuts unique top and bottom rails that improve riding comfort and performance. Core beveled the top deck between the footpads by approximately 2mm in thickness, and the edge receives a new 60/40 tucked-under rail between the pads that transitions into a flat box rail at the tips.

A BOARD FOR PURISTS
Core designed out reverse flex. Core made bottom dings repairable and added channels to ride finless if you want. To all the boot purists out there, go big and let your Bolt 4 do the rest.

Features & Technology

TWO LAYER CARTAN CARBON
Cable park strong. The top and bottom receive an extra lamination (for a total of four laminations) of Core's exclusive high-performance carbon fiber. Core's proprietary 30 degree biaxial carbon fiber weave optimizes board torsion and reduced reverse flex in a way traditional 90 degree carbon fiber cannot. Core's 12,000 filament, low resin carbon fiber, is responsible for Core's signature board feel. Cartan Carbon. Powering every Core twin tip.

NEW! KATANA CHANNELS
The perfect combo between flex and stiffness. You'll notice that Core continues the same contours of the bottom tip channel into the top deck, which now resembles a Katana sword. The new contours add tip stiffness to better store and release the energy you generate loading the edge.

NEW! BEVELED DECK
The Bolt 4 features a 3/4 length deck channel between the straps that raises the outer deck (or lowers the area between the straps) by approximately 2mm. Core bevels a slight negative slope from the visible deck channel outwards to the top edge and transition to a box rail near the tips. The bevel reduces rail thickness and improves pop.

NEW! TUCKED UNDER RAILS
The board features a tucked under bottom rail between the straps that transitions to a box edge near the outer inserts. From there, the rail thins out to a sharper edge at the tips. The tucked under rail softens the ride and improves water flow, whereas the sharper tip edges add more bite.

PRO FIX GRINDBASE
The snowboard inspired base. The waxy surface you feel on the Bolt 4 is high-modulus polyethylene, a material with superior sliding properties, especially over rails, ramps, and other water features. And just like snowboards, scratches and dings can be quickly repaired with any PTEX candle as long as the gouge has not penetrated the Pro Flex Grindbase and damaged the core.

RAIL READY BASE
Built for the sickest sliders. The channels are beveled and countersunk between the boots to create a perfect sliding platform. So, grind away!

3D WOOD CORE
Naturally dynamic. The CNC milled, marine-grade, Paulownia wood core gives the Bolt4 unmatched dimensional stability, excellent composite bonding, and its powerful character. The production process extends the wood core further towards the board edge, thereby making it lighter than its competition. Feel the added reflexivity Paulownia delivers.

PRO ROCKER
The Bolt 4 features a progressive freestyle rocker that is most pronounced in the center area. Board curvature is then reduced towards the tips. Individual flex patterns are built into each board size to lock in the best performance possible. Without giving away Core's secrets, good flex and bad (aka negative rocker) flex is managed by varying the lamination thicknesses during production. A super hard landing, for example, can create a negative rocker between your feet. Core worked very hard to eliminate bad flex, so those rock hard landings are easy to recover from. Not to worry, the Bolt 4 is still deliciously fun when you are not "in training" mode. Go hard. Or easy. Either way, you'll love it.

MULTI-CHANNELS
Extreme grip even without fins. Just like the Bolt 3, four deep channels run the full length of the board. The channels reduce the wetted surface area and increase lateral resistance when planing (at all attack angles). Reducing the wetted surface area reduced drag and improves board speed. Go ahead and ride finless, your Bolt 4 is always in control!

BOOT TOUGH INSERTS (Boots sold separately)
Boots only for this baby. Heavy-duty stainless steel, V4A thread inserts are laminated in a massively reinforced base plate deep within the board. And laminated again in targeted areas to be sure. The boot inserts provide three different stance options.

V-SHAPED KEEL
Inspired by the legendary handling of deep-vee powerboats in rough waters, Core extended a double concave, V-shaped keel, for the full length of the board. The design eats chop and even smoothes out hard landings. Test the new Bolt 4 in the roughest water you can find and feel the deep-vee difference.

VARIO RAILS
Variable rail thickness. For better control and more pop. The Bolt 4 features 11.5mm thick rails near the center of the board that reduces to approximately 5.5mm at the tips. Vario Rails better calibrate the board's flex properties.

28mm + 42mm G10 FINS
Prepared for anything. The Bolt comes with two G10 fin sets: the super grippy 42mm fins and the 28mm ones for a looser wakestyle feel. Still too much fin? No problem, go finless and enjoy the ride.
