Epic Foiling Under The NYC Skyline.
We had the pleasure of sharing a few unforgettable runs on the Raritan Bay with Jack Ho—pro surfer and foiler from Hawaii—during his strike mission to our backyard. Endless downwind swell, solid camaraderie, and unexpectedly epic scenery. This edit captures what downwind foiling is really about.
In Jack’s words:
“Such a unique experience—seeing the New York City skyline from a very different perspective. Stoked to get the opportunity to foil in New Jersey with the local crew of cold-water frothers. Seriously some of the best downwind swell I’ve ever ridden. Thanks boys for the cold welcome.”
The video is now entered in a Tonic Magazine contest and is currently ranked among the top foiling videos of the year. Voting ends in 2 days—let’s push it to #1.
All it takes is watching the video on Tonic’s website.
For this run, Jack was riding a 3.5m F-One Frigate paired with the SK8 foil, a setup that handled the bay bumps, speed, and glide perfectly.
