Light, Direct, Safe
Green Hat Kiteboarding recommends using the same brand of kite and bar when possible. So if you're flying Core Kites, you should definitely use either the Core Sensor 2S Pro Control Bar of the Core Sensor 2S/ 2S+ Control Bar. Both Core control bars have an adjustable throw, which makes them ideal for smaller kiters who might have difficulties reaching the depower trim while kiting.

What makes the Sensor 2S Pro Control Bar Unique?
Meet the new Sensor 2S Pro bar. The only, titanium trussed, carbon fiber control bar. A bar that exhausts superlatives. A bar we are very proud of. We leveraged our experience in carbon fiber board building to build a 100% carbon fiber, thin grip, unibody bar reinforced with a titanium alloy truss. Although it shares many of the same features as our sensational Sensor 2S bar, it is profoundly different in that it features a full carbon fiber bar and 100% Tectanium lines, top to bottom. Go Sensor 2S Pro.

Carbon Fiber Bar
Yes, even lighter than our Unibody bar. Our carbon fiber bar reduces the already low weight to an unimaginable 200g. With the same breaking strength, the titanium reinforced, carbon bar is even stiffer than the Sensor 2S bar. Its low mass and low bar-end height reduces inertia and optimizes leverage. For perfect balance, control and response.
Functional simplicity. Untwisting your front lines has never been easier. Front line twists only occur below the Sensor 2S bar. An improved, below the bar, swivel with hi-tech ceramic bearings unravels the front lines virtually on its own or whenever the bar is pulled in. The days of manually spinning the front line swivel are over. Welcome to the Sensor 2S era of super auto untwist!
Perfect balance. The stainless steel connection between the Rotor QR and the depower lines is shaped to provide more symmetric pulling forces on the lines. S-Neck: Smoother auto untwist. Zero unwanted leverage. Perfectly symmetric pulling forces. Now that’s smart.
Full TECTANIUM® LINES
Exclusively developed for CORE by Liros, the market leader in specialized aeronautical and sail cordage. The virtually tangle-free, no stretch, Tectanium center and steering lines are 400% more resistant to elongation and feature an unbelievable 50% greater breaking strength. To cap things off, the lines are 10% thinner and, therefore, more aerodynamic.
- 10 percent lighter and thinner
- 50 percent higher break load
- 400 percent higher stretch resistance
High tech bar with a strong heart. In the middle of the Unibody bar is the secret to the strength of the SENSOR 2. Thanks to the specially constructed titanium insert the SENSOR 2 is able to boast an extreme break load and stiffness whilst being as light as a feather. These attributes also result in the typical crisp flight feeling.
Above the Bar trim adjuster
Fine trimming. The forces acting on the cleat adjuster are reduced to a quarter by the addition of another loop through the slide pulley, which results in the exceptionally smooth and precise operation of the adjuster, even in the upper wind limits. And the levels of comfort get even better: the depower throw can now be easily adjusted to suit the size of the rider by simply moving the cleat adjuster.
Rotor Quick Release
So easy – just turn. The release mechanism, which can be turned in either direction, allows for intuitive emergency release in any situation. It has been proven that the turning motion allows for more force to be exerted. In addition to this, and unlike conventional systems, you don’t need to fight against the water flow. The ROTOR system not only more than fulfills the highest standards but it also sets new standards in safety, as regularly proven by independent testing. Another tangible advantage: Compared to push systems, the ROTOR quickrelease has a noticeably more compact and lighter design, while also bringing the depower adjuster closer to the riders reach – not only a comfort plus but also resulting in better safety in critical situations.
Always works. The self-un-swivelling of the CORE bars has been setting high standards for many years as it sorts the lines out in any and every situation without issue. CORE has always designed the lines to twist and cross below the bar. When you pull the bar down the lines are left with little option but to sort themselves out again.
All kite sizes respond to one bar. Thanks to the ability to easily adjust the knot of the steering lines at the end of the bar, the size can be extended by six centimeters from 46 to 52 centimeters. With this the SENSOR 2 bar covers the full kite spectrum from 5 to 19 square meters

High tech materials and technology, auto unswivelling , one of the lightest and strongest bars
if you want the top of the line kite bar with top-notch technology then get the core 2s pro bar. At first, it might take a little bit of adjustment because the bar weighs next to nothing (titanium), but once you are used to that there is no turning back, on rotations the bar doesn't get in your way and the lines on the pro bar wear out less than on others. The turn release takes a few practice turns but its pretty intuitive and makes sense. When the kite pulls you to push against the current is actually harder than twist and release. Luckily I don't have to release often but in the surf, in a wave, I have done it a few times, zero problems. It's super easy to put it back together too. Make sure to rinse the bar in fresh water after use.
Best flying bar ever, one major safety issue
Flagline jambs inside chicken loop after riding heavy surf sessions where waves break on sandbars.... failed 3 out of 4 attempts.... core says bar is fine... real watersports blames my aggressive riding style.... i blame faulty design.... best flying bar i have ever used but needs redesign to be safe in sandy water conditions.
