What Nobile Says About the 2019 Nobile NHP Split Kiteboard
WHY THE NHP SPLIT? Rectangular channels on the tips guarantee super upwind performance and stability when riding and jumping on the NHP Split, and a perfectly designed Hydrodynamic rocker line improves the comfort, maneuverability and pop. The rocker means the board performs well in chop, while a Split W-Connection (4th generation) maintains the rocker lines and the performance capabilities of the board. The Split also enables easier transportation and storage, as well as being a solution to extra luggage costs –it’s a truly travel-friendly board. The Dynamic Asymmetrical Shape gives it a longer back-side edge, guaranteeing perfect control during the ride, while a shorter toe-side edge translates into fast and agile turns.

If you airtravel a lot for twintip kiting look no further
I bought the 2019 Model in 138 cm (am 85 kgs) with the GEN 2 bindings in L/XL.
Amazing and sturdy construction! You do not feel that the board is a split board.
I have packed the board in an airline compliant regular duffle-bag (LL Bean model large), without cover in the bottom and loaded it with kites, harnesses and vests. Another possibility is to buy the Nobile travel bag (which I have for the Nobile Zen Foil), which is 100% airline-compliant. It is a must to have the appropiate bag to pack your board and the rest of your equipment.
The sleeve that comes with the board is good for protection, but not for travel at is does not have space for anything else.
Be aware, I have tried to bring the board itself (in its sleeve) on board as carry-on and it got rejected at American Airlines.
You can put the board, fins and bindings up in minutes, no tools needed.
The GEN2 bindings remind me of my bike shoes and are the best. I am tired of all the bindings with velcro, that wear out. This is a one-stop fastening, that you can do in the water easily.
The board has a shorter side for toeside riding which is very practical, specially if you are doing downwinders.
It is a board on the expensive side of the price range, but if you travel a lot for short trips, with only twin tip kiting in mind, the added price tag will be recuperated after your second flight (avoiding the extra sport baggage charges)
Excellent board for traveling
Excellent quality. You can’t really tell the difference between it and a regular (non-split board). Game changer if you travel frequently. Gen 2 foot straps are very comfortable. Board is easy to assemble and disassemble. One important thing, you need to get the Nobile check in bag, as the board won’t fit in a regular large luggage bag. Also I’m 180lbs. 134-41 is slightly smaller than what I expected. Still works fine when wind is strong. I was even able to use it with 12 kts wind with a 12 m kite. But if you’re a larger person, the 138-43 might be a better option.
Well worth the cost.
I hate golf bags. They are too big for most rental cars. Some times you have fight at check-in as the airlines are wizeing up to the bag trick. I thought this board tech might be a bit of a gimmick, but it’s legit. Super light board , well built, handles chop well. Not the most buttery ride, but if you Tavel at all this is the board for you. Combine this with one of the Nobile travel bags and you are set. Quick to assemble.
Very good. Convenient for traveling.
The board is great. Easy to assemble and take apart.
Sand gets under rubber linings. Must be cleaned after each use.
excellent for trips
easy to assemble
fits perfectly in regular size travel baggage
the straps have a hard plastic core that cuts my feet
one of the plastic vice things that holds the strap broke but the board comes with an extra one or you can replace it with a regular screw
shipping form green hat Kiteboarding was fast
