2010 Best Redline Performance Bar

The Red-Line Performance bar uses our new moulded, push to release QR with integrated swivel. With an integral swivel sitting on top of the chicken loop assembly untwisting your lines and swapping between hooked-in and unhooked riding just got a whole lot easier. This is the perfect bar for riders of all levels who demand the most reliable and predictable safety system but still need all the features our previous bars have had to offer.

A dual-depower center line with integral moulded stopper allows you to trim the bar position, taking the strain so you can concentrate on your next move. The Redline safety system passes directly through the center of the stopper ball, providing a safety override regardless of how you use the stopper.

A dual front line safety set-up ensures that your kite depowers safely and lands ready to be relaunched as quickly as possible. Riders who require to completely kill their kite can opt to use the rear line OSR handles instead of the chicken loop mounted Redline safety. Advanced riders can choose to use the suicide leash connection by clipping their safety over the chicken loop line.

Flying lines are 700lb rated, colour coded for easy set-up and proven to offer incredibly low stretch and amazing durability; the rear flying lines can be trimmed to allow compensation for your preferred bar position or when using the bar with kites from previous product years. An above the bar pull-pull trim strap provides easy depower trimming in flight.

With 2 years in the development, Nobile Kiteboarding is happy to present to you the all new NHP.� Recognizing the limitations of 5 line set ups we went back to the drawing board and drew on what we learned from the recent N62 Delta concept development to create a completely new style of freestyle kite.

The criteria for performance was clear - fast and direct feeling, axial turning, low bar pressure when un hooked and instant response to rider input, however we placed increased priority for 2010 on enhanced de-power range and super easy re-launch.� Using a short and simple bridle also allowed us to reduce the size of the leading edge on the NHP resulting in a fast flying kite that climbs to the front of the window in all wind conditions - An essential trait for a modern freestyle kite both for smooth power delivery after landing and for completing kite loops without stalling.

The new 4 line NHP format has allowed us to increase light wind performance with no effect on the upper range handling and usability. For most riders this increased range will ensure no more than 2 kites are necessary for 90% of riding conditions.

The N62 delivers the latest generation of design into the Nobile kite range.� A kite that makes EASE the focal point in its performance � it�s innovative, D2 (Delta Evolution) shape and reduced aspect ratio offer super stability, as well as delivering easy power control, direct handling, instant re-launch and simple rigging. An ideal kite for riders who value ease and simplicity in their kiting and those who ride in demanding conditions where control is paramount.
The D2 shape of the N62 features reduced sweep through the wing tips compared to a traditional delta, ensuring phenomenal low-end performance, massive wind range and pivotal turning without the indirect, imprecise handling of a traditional delta.� This kite delivers �park and ride� ease. Point it where you want to go and concentrate on your riding. Excellent �sink back� characteristics, (the ability of the kite to drop back into the window, instead of luffing and falling out of the sky, should you get yourself too far under the kite) ensure the N62 is forgiving of rider error. SMART Pump 2 Inflation System
The SMART (Single-point, Multiple-valve, Air-distribution with Removable Tubes) pump inflation system has been extensively modified for 2009.� The uniquely designed valves and removable tubes connecting the kite�s individual bladders, are now even more user-friendly for inflation and deflation and for removability in the event of bladder punctures or kite damage that needs repair.

3 strut Layout
The low aspect ratio of the N62 allows us to achieve incredible stability whilst incorporating only 3 inflatable struts. Higher aspect ratio kites require more struts to control the large expanses of unsupported canopy however, fewer struts means a lighter kite with increased agility and faster inflation/deflation

Reduced Bridle Simplicity
The Natural Arc stability of the N62 is maintained by a simple 3 point SLE bridle.� Multiple rear line attachments allow the user to tune the turning speed of the kite without having to resort to complicated bridle adjustments.

D2 (Delta Evolution) Shape
The reduced strut, D2 shape of the N62 give it the lowest aspect ratio in the Nobile Kite range.� Riders are rewarded with impressive stability, pivotal turning and progressive power control. The front to back sweep in the wind tips of the N62 stops short of traditional deltas, avoiding the loss of direct feeling that is so often associated with them.

Outstanding safety
Safety was one of the paramount features we considered when the N62 concept was developed. Releasing the kite on the leash results in 100% de-power yet still allows the rider to recover the bar and re-launch the kite (re-ride safety). The kite is engineered to have additional depower above the level you need for normal riding, thus you have the ability to totally depower in an emergency.

Short De-power Throw
The 2009 Nobile 4 line control bar and N62 work together to ensure power control is progressive and predictable within a short de-power throw.� Moving from maximum power to full de-power is achieved with a range of movement that is within easy, comfortable reach of the average rider.

Auto re-launch
Re-launch has never been easier.� Whether it is learner error or through pushing your limits, the kite will probably end up in the water at some point.� However, the incredible auto re-launch on the N62 will ensure that it isn�t there longer than necessary.� Upon hitting the water the N62 reassuringly drifts to the closest edge of the window ready for re-launch with the very minimum of rider input or fuss.

Fully featured Kite bag��
The 2009 Nobile bag is designed to keep your kite in perfect condition when not in use as well as be a functional pack for each session. Dedicated external attachment points hold the bar and pump securely whilst in transit and both internal and external pockets provide plenty of extra storage space. A � circumference zippered opening allows for quick and easy entry to the bag and base venting allows any water to drain out and air to circulate whilst your kite is in storage.

Neoprene

The fact is, neoprene degrades naturally over time, generally very slowly, through oxidization. Oxidized material tends to contract and become stiffer. The effects of sunlight (specifically the UV ranges) and heat increase this process, with certain environmental pollutants also accelerating the effects. Suit life-time is therefore a function of the amount of time it is exposed to light, heat and the elements.

Initial signs of degradation are the emergence of small splits / cracks across the outer surfaces of the suit that are most exposed to UV light (the shoulders, upper arms and back). These are caused by a contraction/hardening of the outer layer of neoprene, thereby losing its flexibility. Initial signs of degradation are to be expected after around 3 years of use, however environmental factors may reduce this.

The thermal performance of the suit is not dramatically affected by the initial stages of neoprene degradation. However as the neoprene ages and the splits increase in size, eventually reaching through the suit, the insulation properties are reduced.

It is advisable to ensure that the natural aging of your suit happens as slowly as possible � essentially by reducing exposure to harmful factors. Here are a few tips:

� Keep the suit out of direct sunlight whenever possible. This includes during drying after use.
� Do not use heat to dry the suit (i.e. no tumble dryers, heaters, radiators etc.) Drip-dry is better.
� Do not use your suit in chlorinated or chemically treated water (e.g. swimming pools) � the chemical can attack the neoprene, seams etc.
� Always rinse with fresh water after use to remove any salt deposits, dissolved pollutants etc.
� Keep you suit clean and dirt free � mild detergents can be used but should be thoroughly washed off after use.
� Store your suit in a cool, dark place when not in use. Suits are best stored hung (to their full length) on a wide wood / plastic hanger or rolled. Folding / creasing suits can cause the neoprene to compress and distort.
� Avoid contact with sharp / abrasive surfaces (board grip, hooks, fins etc.). These can affect the stitched seams and certain types of outer jersey.

Zippers

A zipper is a mechanical device and as such it is vital that it receives regular care and maintenance in order to prolong its operational life. This is particularly so with the metal waterproof zippers used in our drysuits, but this equally so with the standard zipper types. If cleaned and lubricated properly you can expect the zipper to outlast the rest of the suit. Here are some maintenance recommendations:

� Keep your zipper clean and free from debris, dirt, salt deposits etc.
� Never operate a dirty zipper � even when getting out of the suit. Sand, dirt etc. should be swept off before the zipper is opened / closed.
� Regularly lubricate your zipper with a specialist lubrication fluid and / or wax. Generally the wax will be applied to the outer elements and the fluid on the inner ones. Operate the zipper a couple of times to work the lubricants in. (NB the zipper must be thoroughly cleaned first)
� Store the suit with the zipper open.
� Never fold the suit so the zipper is creased � if not stored on a hanger the suit should be rolled with the zipper on the outside.

New to Nobile for 2010 is the 50fifty wakestyle range - the board of choice for KPWT winner Mike Blomvall. After recognizing the differing needs for a pure wakestyle board to the requirements of a traditional freestyle board the 50fifty was born.

The 50fifty incorporates the same 3-D deck shape and channels as the 2010 NHP range allowing for accurate control of the flex between the longitudinal axis and cross axis.� However, it is overall stiffer in recognition of the specific requirements of advanced wakestyle moves. To achieve maximum POP (without the use of the kite for lift) we�ve increased the radius of the curve in both the outline and the rocker to achieve a smoother more aggressive carve and thus achieve more height when the kite is held in a powered position. Integrated Footbed Pro System:

The Nobile IFS Pro foot bed is the world�s first triple-density, molded pad. With each layer becoming progressively harder, the shock absorbing qualities of the pad �ramp up� through it�s depth, preventing any possibility of your foot hitting the board, whilst still delivering a firm surface that gives a direct feeling of the board when riding.

Comfort without function isn't enough however, especially if your foot slips out on the first landing. The ergonomically formed IFS PRO features an in-board cant leading from the heel down to the toe, ensuring that upon impact, your foot moves more securely into the strap, and not dangerously out of it.

On the front edge, multi-ridged toe strip helps with grip, whatever your foot size, and the moulded Polyurethane texture under the heels provides traction in all conditions.

Inside the footstrap, a new hot press formed, EVA pad ensures exact shaping specifications are met in every unit. Integrated inserts inside the foot bed means that there is no exposed webbing or hard materials to rub on your foot � what ever size it�s set to.

Vertical adjustment on the strap is retained from the original IFS system to ensure the perfect fit for all feet however, adjustment is now taken care of with a new non-stretch, buckle fixing system, which allows micro adjustment with vastly increased ease of use over a Velcro based system.

Select your stance and screw them in, no other assembly is necessary even the screws come ready set in the pad.

Gone is the difficult and time consuming task of trying to compress the pad to fit the screws as is the risk of crossing threads and ruining the board before you even get to ride it!

Building the pad and strap together into one unit has also allowed Nobile to completely eliminate twist at the fixation point; a major source of discomfort when riding.

Conventional straps are hinged on one side for adjustment. The geometry of the strap fits the average size foot well but bigger and smaller feet are left to suffer.

Adjusting the size to it�s extremes - forces the form fitted sections into the wrong position in relation to your foot.

The vertical adjustment in the Nobile IFS Pro (Integrated Footbed System) ensures that the strap fits into the correct position no matter what the size and shape of your foot without having to resort to using a screw driver.

Construction:

There is a lot to the footbed and strap that misses the eye on first glance. The visual aspect is always important but its the technology behind what you see is ultimately far more important and that has had a huge amount of work.

3D CNC Mold:

The IFS is made in a specific 3D CNC'd mold, shaped to your foot as opposed to a flat block of foam that is shaped by sanding. This construction allows very precise control and cost effective detailed molding of the core materials.

3 Density Cores:

Shape compression areas, to ensure you always have reserve compression for extremely high impacts on already heavy loadings, saving both board and joint damage.

Supports distribution loadings, to make sure the harder you push the more locked in your feet stay. When the pad is loaded if pushes your foot further into the strap and pad to make sure you stay locked in.

Allows soft skin compression, which makes you foot nestle into position keeping the board on your feet during zero loading (ie jumping).

Heat Formed Polyurethane Molding:

The Nobile IFS Pro Pad also uses a new technology of footstrap. The IFS pro strap core is a heat formed polyurethane molding much like a trainer base, but with far less density. Normal straps are made with solid flat material, shaped in plan shape but not in thickness or form.

Full 3-D-shape + full suspension tips
The HT-Boards have a Full 3D-Shape that combined, with the by Spleene developed Full Suspension Tips provides maximum Flex where it is needed, on the tips around the fin-area. The results are improved suspension characteristics and better shock absorption, which lead to more control and ride-comfort.

Jet bottom Technology
This Shape-Detail describes a Channel on the underside of the Board. It allows the board to plane more freely and earlier. Compared to a simple concave the Jet Bottom provides significantly more �edge bite� as it channels the water flow along its edges. Even in choppy conditions the difference is very noticeable.

Advanced water flow release
The new Tip Outline (concave curve in the Tip-Area) allows for a much better water release, which in turn produces significantly less drag. We improved this detail at the new outline of the 2010 boards.

Full wood-core �Paulownia-Wood�
We are really proud to reduce the weight of the 2010models in comparison to the �09 Spleene Boards which were already super light.This ultralight weight is immediately noticeable and provides them with much better acceleration and a more dynamic take-off. Changing the rocker of the board changes the release point of the water but can also adversely effect the performance of the board. By placing the profilers under the fins on the heelside edge - you are effectively adding around 5mmm of kick into only the ultimate part of the tail of the board. In most cases this is enough to change the angle the board rides at in the water and eliminates the spray. If you don't have a problem or are fortunate enough to ride in flat water you can leave them out for the most efficient rocker possible.

H-flex Force Frame: The �H� in this force frame is formed by 3 Fiberglass battens. 2 slightly angled vertical ones and 1 horizontal. 2010 Nobile T5 (555) kiteboarding kite

The Nobile 555 kite range may have a new name, new look and new bridle configuration, but the new T5 retains all of the characteristics that made its predecessor a test winner, whilst improving its versatility and appeal as a high performance freeride kite.

Through further development of our Natural Arc Technology we�ve reconfigured the SLE geometry to allow for the complete separation of the front and rear bridle sections, removing the connecting pulley. The huge wind range, lift and hang time remain, but with a marked improvement to the low-end power and re-launch capabilities. Moving even further away from the classic bow drawbacks of heavy bar pressure, vague steering and poor unhooked performance, the T5 features superior, direct-feeling control; improved predictability; and perfectly balanced bar pressure, whilst now providing near delta like re-launch ability.

The range and control of the T5 means that the very real possibility of a one or two kite quiver has never been closer. The tuning options will help set up the kite to an individual�s needs. The choice of position for the back line attachment point will determine the de-power, back line pressure and turning speed characteristics of the kite, whilst the two-knot option, for attaching flying lines, offers riders a choice in positioning the bar close to the Fulcrum, or further up the de-power line, when riding comfortably.

If you want a kite with outstanding power range; clean, precise and direct handling; and easy re-launch, suitable for freeride, big air, wave riding or even unhooked freestyle, then the T5 delivers it all.

SMART Pump 2 Inflation System
The SMART (Single-point, Multiple-valve, Air-distribution with Removable Tubes) pump inflation system has been extensively modified for the new series. The uniquely designed valves and removable tubes, connecting the kite�s individual bladders, are now even more user-friendly for inflation and deflation and for removability in the event of bladder punctures or kite damage that needs repair.

Responsive, Direct Handling
The already instant and positive feel of the 555 has improved with the separation of the front and back bridle. Bar pressure has been lightened, but without loss of predictability in power control and turning.

Quick and Intuitive re-launch
Whilst not quite reaching the exceptional auto re-launch of the N62, re-launching the T5 has never been easier. Minimal rider bar input sees the kite roll over and take off in any wind strength and from which ever position it is lying in.

Short De-power Throw
The Nobile control bar and T5 work together to ensure power control is progressive and predictable within a short de-power throw. Moving from maximum power to full de-power is achieved with a range of movement that is within easy, comfortable reach of the average rider.

4-line Simplicity
Separating the front and back bridle and the removal of the pulley has made the light, direct feeling associated with the 555 even greater for the new T5. The single knot for the front line attachment eliminates fuss, whilst the two knots on the rear attachments offer riders a choice in positioning the bar close to the Fulcrum or further up the de-power line when riding comfortably.

Control Bar
Nobile�s 4 line control bar is one of the safest, most technologically advanced bars on the market. Our new stainless steel (INOX) centre hole reduces wear on the de-power line, decreases bar pressure when turning the kite and provides uni-directional seating for the FULCRUM Quick Release, ensuring it�s always facing forwards when riding unhooked. For 2009 we have applied a new colour coded EVA texture to the upper side of the bar to increase grip and rider comfort. The highest of safety and ease of use come together as standard in the revolutionary Fulcrum Quick Release and the through bar leash attachment line means true re-ride performance whilst still allowing the kite to �flag� and de-power completely when released in case of emergency. This year, all bars come with their own bag to help keep them clean and the lines tangle free, while the safety (HP) leash features a new clip complete with manual block to prevent accidental detachment.

Fully featured Kite bag
The new Nobile kite bag is designed to keep your kite in perfect condition when not in use as well as provide a functional pack for each session. Dedicated external attachment points hold the bar and pump securely whilst in transit and both internal and external pockets provide plenty of extra storage space. A � circumference zippered opening allows for quick and easy entry to the bag and base venting allows any water to drain out and air to circulate whilst your kite is in storage.

Why did Nobile make the Nobile T5 (555) Kite?
Massive wind range allowing a two (or even one) kite quiver is a goal for us all, but until now achieving this meant too many compromises.
Their goal was to make a high de-power, easy to use kite that that still had good performance, but did not feature any of the drawbacks of some of the bow kites on the market.

How did Nobile do it?
Nobile kept the same Natural Arc they developed for other Nobiles kites. However, to enhance the range of the T5 (555) Nobile used a 4 line SLE (Supported Leading Edge) Hybrid configuration. With careful placement of the bridle attachment points and some modification to its normal configuration we created a kite that delivers outstanding power range, clean and precise handling and fast, easy re-launch.
Huge air comes as standard with the Nobile T5 along with unparalleled, direct, confidence inspiring handling � the perfect blend for free-ride use.

Natural ARC Shaping:
The Nobile T5 (555) features Natural Arc shaping, the most aerodynamically efficient shape for a Leading Edge Inflatable (LEI) kite. The fluid form has several key benefits in performance and has been developed through extensive R & D and not marketing influence.
As there are no corners or radical changes of angle in the leadng edge - the form is the same as the trailing edge of the kite ensuring that the designed profile is maintained across the entire canopy.
Another gain is that even tension is applied across the canopy eliminating all fluttering and flapping and greatly enhancing the kite�s stability.
Structurally the lack of pressure points in the leading edge also greatly decreases the load on the bladder and seams thus reducing the chance of material failure.

Extended Depower Range:
Nobile unique SLE configuration on the Nobile T5 (555) allows for increased de-power over conventional 5-line kites without having to resort to pulleys on the bar ends and the lack of feeling they bring as found on many bow kites.
By linking the forward and rear sections of the bridle with a pulley directly attached to the LE the centre of effort is allowed to shift forwards during de-powering whilst at the same time the front lines are able to move towards the centre of the kite exagerating the change in the angle of attack.
This enables Nobile to design in a far greater wind range (upper and lower wind strengths) into the T5 (555) which in turn allows you to have less kites in your quiver.

Nobile T5 (555) Kite 4-Line Control Bar System:

The innovation and technology doesn't stop with the kites. With Nobile's extensive experience of molding technology and their in-house engineers - Nobile have reviewed the mechanical problems presented by current control and bar systems and their quick release and safety equipment has been designed using their own original ideas to resolve them.

20m + 5m Flying Lines: The Nobile 4 line bar comes with 20m lines and 5m extensions allowing the rider to change between long and short line set-ups whilst only having one bar. The lines also feature loop/knot ends ensuring you can not attach the lines incorrectly.
4-Line Safety: The leash line on the 4 line bar runs from the FULCRUM Quick Release up through the INOX ring and attaches to one of the front flying lines. In the event of releasing the bar the kite completely de-powers and lies in the water to one side of the window ready for immediate relaunch.
INOX Swivel: This high grade INOX swivel prevents the front flying lines becoming twited when spinning the bar after manoeuvres.
Emergency Kill Handle: Grabbing this handle and letting go of the kite will kill all the power in an emergency. It can also be used for self landing the kite.
De-Power Stopper: Our stopper has been designed to hold the bar at the desired distance from you yet still be easy to move quickly. Both the de-power line and the leash line pass through the stopper to minimize wear.
Safety Leash with Quick Release: The safety leash features a quick release for use in emergencies. Placing it close to the EVA foam protector eliminates the chance of it opening through water pressure only.
Central Bar Insert: At the centre of the Nobile carbon bar is an INOX mold that reduces de-power line wear to a minimum and due to its internal shaping decreases the pressure needed to turn the kite. The mold form is such that the FULCRUM Quick Release inserts into it ensuring the loop is always facing you during un-hooked moves.
Nobile Bar Ends: Our bar ends have been designed from scratch for practicality and function. The inside of the cap is made in soft silicone to protect your hands and colour coded to make bar direction easily recognizable. Ample space has been supplied to ensure all the flying lines and lead lines can be tidily stored around the bar at the end of your session without fear of tangles. The steering lines have two options for attachment on the bar end allowing one bar to adjust to either 48cm or 54cm length ensuring the owner can adapt their kites turning speed to their own preference.
Ergo Grip Bar: Wrapped in super comfy EVA foam the Nobile bar features ERGO shaping for enhanced grip.
Line Float and Protector: The EVA foam floats help to keep the bar floating in the water and also protect your fingers from becoming wrapped up in the pre-lines.
Power Adjuster Strap: The power strap features a pull/pull configuration to ensure ease of use. the de-power toggle is clearly marked in red and features a velcro strap to stop it flapping around when fully applied. The re-power toggle is covered in PVC tubing to make it easier to pull.

Nobile�s all new Fulcrum De-power loop is the industries first 100% molded Quick Release (QR). By analyzing ALL the requirements and applying a little �outside the box� thinking we created a completely integrated system that moves away from the much used cantilever principle, under which the pressure needed to open the QR increases as the load on the system rises, instead the Fulcrum has a constant release pressure no matter the forces placed upon it.

The molded construction helps to vastly increase the life expectancy of the unit whilst negating the need for regular maintenance and cleaning. Whilst safety was of the utmost importance in the design of the Fulcrum, it�s functionality had to be superior too.

The Lock In Finger (LIF) has been designed with three operating positions with the finger in a vertical position you can insert it through the end of the spreader bar and prevent inadvertent unhooking. By turning the LIF through one click it is held to one side out of the way (ideal for making unhooked tricks) but is still available should you wish to engage it again during your session. Push the LIF from behind to remove it completely from the Fulcrum and hook in and out with complete ease.
The top of the mold has been designed to fit snuggly into the INOX centre hole in the bar thus ensuring the loop is always facing you during freestyle moves for fast hooking in again. Ease of use has been further enhanced through the use of a solid molded loop that can neither deform nor twist.
The Handle pass leash attachment point (*) allows experienced freestyle riders to attach their leash to the Fulcrum in a position that does not impede riding and eliminates the possibility of the end of the leash catching on your spreader bar hook. Finally the whole unit has been designed to allow a quick and easy change of worn out de-power lines without the need to replace the whole QR.
* The handle pass leash attachment point should only ever be utilized by expert riders once in open water and after careful consideration of the risks involved which result from dropping the bar and the possible dragging that can result. Riders should NEVER fix their leash on to this attachment point when launching the kite or near to land.

Replaceable Depower Line
The Nobile FULCRUM has been designed so that replacement of a worn de-power line can be done quickly and easily without replacing the unit itself. Unscrew and remove the Leashline/5th line attachment ring and then remove the quick release handle. The new line can be fed through the retaining piece and then the unit re-assembled.

Constant Pressure Quick Release
Due to the unique design of the FULCRUM the pressure needed to open the quick release remains constant irrespective of the loads placed upon it (unlike cantilever based systems where the pressure needed to open the release increases as the load on the unit increases). Uniquely, the system can be re-set quickly and easily after use even with only one hand - simply push the loop piece back onto the retainer and slide the release handle back down.

5th line/Leash Attachment Point
The INOX loop at the top of the FULCRUM holds the 5th line on the NHP kite and the leash line on the SLE 555. Non corroding INOX ensures the attachment point will not break but also offers minimal wear on both the line and itself during repeated use.

Handle Pass Leash Attachment
The FULCRUM features a dedicated Handle Pass Leash attachment point for maximum convenience during advanced freestyle riding. * The handle pass leash attachment point should only ever be utilized by expert riders once in open water and after careful consideration of the risks involved which result from dropping the bar and the possible dragging that can result. Riders should NEVER fix their leash on to this attachment point when launching the kite or near to land.

Auto Locating Insert
The top of the FULCRUM has been designed to fit into the INOX bar centre piece. This ensures that the loop is always facing you during un-hooked manoeuvres allowing for fast and problem free re-hooking.

High Visibilty, Floating Loop
In the event that you become detached from the loop when the quick release is activated the FULCRUM has been built in a high visibilty red colour and designed to float making it easier to spot in the water.

3 Position Lock IN Finger (LIF)
The FULCRUM has a 3-position LIF for all riding styles. In the normal position it can be inserted into the harness hook to ensure you do not come un-hooked accidentally. In the open position the rider can perform un-hooked tricks easily however can re-engage the finger should they wish to mid session. Removing the LIF completely allows for maximum convenience when riding unhooked.
