We are planning a full day of activities on a private beach. If you’re a kiteboarder or thinking about getting into the sport, this is the event you don’t want to miss.

When: Saturday, April 26th starting at 11am wind or no wind (rain date will be Sunday, April 27th)
- Contests with prizes from our sponsors (kites, kiteboards, etc.)
- Clinics by Pro Riders from Best and Cabrinha
- Raffles and giveaways
- Lots of 2014 gear to see and try – kites, boards, harnesses, etc

11am – 12pm: Intro to Kiteboarding Clinic / Q&A
12pm – 1pm: Strapless Riding/Aerials Clinic and Cabrinha presentation with Evan Netch
1pm – 2pm: Mega Loops, Unhooked tricks Clinic and Best presentation with Ryan Evans
2pm – 3:30pm: Hangtime Contest or SUP Race (if no wind)
3:30pm – 5pm: Kite Pumping Contest
If there is time and interest, we’ll also do a clinic on Bar Tuning and Self Rescues.
There is a limited number of spots for each contest. Registration will be done on first come first serve basis (please see Connie when you arrive).
Hangtime: 1st Prize: 2013 Best Armada Kiteboard ; 2nd Prize: Cabrinha Wakeskate
Hangtime contest will start around 2pm and end around 3:30pm. We will have 2 judges recording air times. There will be two contestants at a time and two jumps allowed per contestant.
Contestants will use their own gear and there are no restrictions on sizes or types.
SUP Race: To replace the hangtime contest if the weather doesn’t cooperate.
1st Prize: 2013 Best Armada Kiteboard ; 2nd Prize: Cabrinha Wakeskate
SUP Race will start around 2pm and end around 3:30pm. 2 contestants at a time will race from the beach, to a buoy, and back. Judges will record times.
Paddle Boards and paddles will be provided.
Kite Pumping: 1st Prize: 2013 10m Best TS kite ; 2nd Prize: Cabrinha H2 Bindings
Kite Pumping contest will start around 3:30pm and end around 5pm. 2 contestants at a time will pump their kites. Both kites will be the same make, model and size (10m Best TS) and the same model pumps will be used. Contestants will have to pump up the kites to 9 PSI and turn them over. Judges will be recording times.
Kites will be provided for this competition.
Tickets: You will need 1 ticket to enter a contest. If you have tickets left over at the end of the day, you can use them for a raffle. Here’s how to get these tickets:
• 1 ticket when you RSVP by 4/20 (you can RSVP on Facebook or by email)
• 1 ticket just for showing up
• Showing up early (by noon) will get you another ticket
• 1 ticket for submitting a product review (100 words minimum) on our site on any non-clearance product we sell by 4/20. It has to be an objective review, but it doesn’t have to be positive. You can submit reviews for as many products as you’d like.
Contest/Raffle tickets will be distributed at the beach entrance (near the club house). It’s up to you how to use them. The more tickets you have the higher your chances of winning.
Raffles and Giveaways:
Our sponsors have sent us bags, t-shirts, hats, stickers, etc. Some of these will be raffled off and some given away to contest participants.
