A bit of a late start this year, but we are finally back again with rides and lessons at the Kite Island. Last weekend (05/01) was our first time out and it was 2 good, windy days of Island Rides and Supervision. This weekend (05/08) we are starting lessons. 2010 Bularoo is now in stock in sizes 9 and 11. And we will be getting the new Kahoona in 2 weeks. As one of the few premium dealers in the country, we will get these kites in stock way before they hit the market in April.

UPDATE 11/28 :
We are extending the sale until 1st of December, but reserve the right to end it at any time.

As the water in Barnegat Bay is starting to dip below 50 degrees, we are wrapping up for the season. Today, we pulled our Dux rescue boat out of the water and we will no longer be offering any Lessons or Supervised Riding in 2009. Our water bus is still in the slip, so we may still go out to the Kite Island and offer Island Ride service if the wind is decent. Lessons and all other services will resume around end of April 2010 and we hope to see you then.

As always, our web store is open 24/7 - we ship and respond to phone calls and emails even faster during the off season . We are currently getting stocked up on new 2010 kites and boards as well as some very nice cold water suits and accessories. Most of 2009 gear is now on clearance and all of our Used / Demo gear is on sale and going fast.

As the weather is getting colder, we stocked up on all the cold water wear you may need. We have shopped around for the best quality and decided to go with NPX for wetsuits, drysuits, booties and hoodies, while sticking with Glacier for the most flexible and warmest neoprene gloves.

Best team riders Miguel Willis and Kris Kinn are driving through NJ in a van packed with 2010 Best gear. They have a full quiver of the new Nemisis NXG kites as well as the new Waroos. These kites are very different and definitely an improvement from their '09 versions in both graphics and design, so come and try them out.

Although we didn't get too much wind on Monday and Tuesday was a washout, a few people were still able to try out the new NXG kites with some very impressive feedback. Click here for some pictures.

It's that time of the year again - we just lowered prices on most used and clearance gear. Also added some more used gear to the site.

We finally got our own wind sensor !!! No more trying to guess wind at the island.



This Monday (08/03), Phil and Bryan from Weather Flow (Ikitesurf) drove 6 hours from Boston to install the sensor. Installation took a few hours and the sensor began functioning around 2pm. It is located on a Nav Aid in the middle of the bay, about 20 feet above water, and 1 mile west of the island. It's at least a mile away from land in all directions, so the readings are very clean.
